Our Grand Presentation Evening 2016

On the evening of 12th October, The Lions Club of Lymington and Brockenhurst, donated back to the community, profits from the Lymington Carnival amounting to some £3000.The Fuller and McLellan Hall at the Lymington Community Centre was full with representatives from the many local and national organisations mentioned below.

 

The presentation was made by Lymington & Pennington’s Town Mayor, Councillor Barry Dunning and Lion President Lynn Sharpe.  

 ‘The Lymington Carnival continues to be a successful event’ said Lynn.   ‘I would particularly like to praise those individuals and organisations in our community, that enter the parade and help us to marshal the road closures on Carnival day. As well as a big thank you to our Sponsors. We are a small Club who organises various fund raising events throughout the year for the benefit of the community. 

We are part of the International Association of Lions Clubs, who this year celebrates their centenary. Lions is the largest volunteer group in the world, with 1.3 million members in 200 countries and is truly a world wide Organisation. If anyone is interested in becoming involved with the Lions, please do not hesitate to contact us through our website www.lymingtonlions.org.uk’  

  Next year’s Carnival has been booked for Sunday  15 July 2018.
