Spec Trek

Spec Trek is an Annual event , in April, where Lions Clubs across Southern England collect unwanted spectacles and pass them onto Peterfield Club, who process them. The first Spectrek was in 1982 and each year the Clubs collects over 100,000 pairs between them. These are then passed on to other Lions Clubs for sorting, grading and onward transport to the third world. Over the years nearly 2.5 million pairs of specs have been collected. It's difficult to buy a pair of specs for less than £100 - you do the maths!
The Club would Like to thanks Boots Opticians In Lymington who have been a supporter of the scheme locally over the years.
